Yoda

Yoda’s new family reports: “This handsome boy is the perfect bunny for our family. We are so in love with him and he’s seems very happy in his new home! He loves romping around with our two young boys, chases the cats around and even plays with our yellow lab Finn! He is such a good boy, uses his litter box all day even though he has full roam of the whole house. He’s exactly what I was hoping for when I set out looking for a rabbit. We love you Boone Boone!”

Handsome Yoda was found sitting on a yard chair in Avon Lake. Lucky for him we were able foster him immediately. Yoda has already been featured on TV. This is little TV star has the silliest ears and personality to match. He’s upbeat and very friendly with strangers.

This bunny in HRS foster care needs a permanent home. All HRS rabbits are spayed/neutered, litterbox-trained, and socialized.

Big Wanda

Big Chompa and Big Wanda have big news! They’ve found a forever home together in Cleveland Heights! They’re still dating, but their new friend Rocket the Tortoise says he can already hear the wedding bells. Chompa and Wanda are enjoying their courtship, with lots of kisses through the bars of their pens and longing looks between their litter boxes. Congrats to the humans Susan and Ian Schramfield!!

Big Wanda was definitely one of the lucky ones. She was sold as “dog food” and delivered to us in a box marked “trash”. She lived her life before us as a breeder rabbit without love. Now days, she can’t get enough head pets or healthy food. Big Wanda has little to no vision which makes her nervous at times, but with some positive reinforcement and vocal queues she does just fine.

Palmer

Palmer, now Humphrey Bogart, has found his forever home! Humphrey reports:
“I am so excited I could binky everywhere! I have found my furever home with my new family. I have become part of a loving and crazy home with my mom and dad, four creatures my mom keeps calling them cats and I guess their names are Taz, Arnie, Sophie and Spatzle. They are weird and special, but like to hangout with me. I also have a bunny brother named Thumper (my mom is so original with his name, lol). My mom keeps telling me I am a handsome and sweet gentleman and I need a name to match it. So she calls my Humphrey Bogart, Humphrey for short. I feel very loved, safe and happy. I love doing binkys all the time, especially when it is breakfast and dinner. I am very shy and can get scared easily. Mom says it’s ok that it will take to earn her trust and feel more confident about my surroundings. Thumper and mom are hoping one day maybe him and I will bond and we can both hop around the house at the same time. If we don’t bond it’s ok. Having the company of him in the same room is nice and he agrees. I just know my mom tells me how much she loves me multiple times a day and I am not going anywhere! I am so lucky I found my home I can feel comfortable in and blossom.”

Rabbit rescue has a lot of ups and downs. We are super sad to report that foster bun Margie passed away due to a particularly bad case of stasis. A few weeks after lonely Palmer met his his new family. While the adoption is still pending due to bonding, he has been showing off his binky skills which turned out to be quite impressive. Stay tuned for more.

Sesame

Sesame found her forever home and a very patient hus-bun. Her new family reports: “We really enjoy having Sesame in our home. She’s spunky and keeps us and her bunny friend Ollie on our toes. We love watching her zoom and binky.” Congratulations Sesame and Ollie!

Sesame is very energetic and so much fun. Every day, she enjoys exploring every corner of the house and zooming back and forth. She has very clean litter box habits and likes to cuddle her toys.
